1.Millions of women throughout the world live in the conditions of abject deprivation. It seems that there are no reasons to cause that kind of situation, it's just because they are women. Why it would become such different treatments between men and women? I think the main reason is certainly gender stereotyping, all of peoples do think that women are not smarter than men and the capability is not enough at work. In the past, people regarded women as housewife, what they should do was cleaning thier house, taking care of thier children, cooking meals for family and staying home .In Taiwan, women even could not go to school, they only could go to factory earning money for thier parents or get married. Because people think women are useless and stupid. So, if parents have had a girl, they would not be happy, instead, they regarded the girl as nothing.I think that goverment should formulate a law to protect women's right at work. It is the best and powerful way to fix the problem. Actually, the basic road is to treat women as yourself, especially men. There are several examples of great capable women, such as LYU, Siou-Lian, the last year Vice President in Taiwan.
4.In today's working environment, women are as much a part of the workplace as men and in some jobs they outnumber men considerably. Over the last few decades this change in the working demographic has forced employers to consider their procedures for maternity and paternity leave and the government have also produced legislation to protect the rights of women who want to take time off to have a family and then return to work in the same roles. The law now also protects the right to take ‘parental leave' allowing either the father or the mother to take the time off in the home to care for their young children. Under the regulations of parental leave, members of staff are required to have been in the workplace for a year for an allowance of up to 13 unpaid weeks off work per child. They are guaranteed the right to return to an identical role only if they take less than 4 weeks of parental leave. If longer, then the person is entitled to return to a job within the organisation with the same or better pay and conditions.
